Overview
The Art of Seeing
Join us for a weekend of art, learning, and reflection at Noxubee Lodge, led by acclaimed photographer Betty Press. Set amid the prairies and woodlands of Sumter Farm, this immersive workshop explores the art of seeing through the lens — whether with a professional camera or the one you carry every day.
Participants will learn to capture natural light, texture, and mood; experiment with composition; and create an emulsion lift artwork to take home. This unique event blends field sessions, indoor creative time, and moments of quiet inspiration within Alabama's most beautiful prairie landscape.

Guests stay at Noxubee Lodge, where rooms accommodate one or two guests. Each cabin includes a shared kitchen or kitchenette for comfort and convenience.
Meals are provided at the Lodge: dinner on Friday, brunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday.
